About the book
The world, tormented by wars and epidemics, is gradually fading. At this time, in the heart of an empty forest, Avril tells the baby about birds: the boy never saw them, like other living creatures. Avril says that they have to hold out a little: their dog Sirius will come and take his parents to the shelter.
But even if you are hiding well, the dark past will find you. So Avrille after a few years tracked the "Black Stars" - people with a special mark that the girl has. Sister and brother have to run away to save life. And when there is no longer any hopes, Avril and the baby meet Sirius. Is he exactly? Or does the girl want to cheer up the younger brother?

Very soon the baby will stop listening to fairy tales and will understand that the world is not so safe and friendly, as the sister says. He will have to choose how to live, to whom to believe. This is the paradox: even if you are supported and protect you, you can still stumble and choose the wrong side.

What, in our opinion, this book:
- About caring for the environment and future of the planet

- About what we are ready to go for the sake of our beloved people

- about the right to incorrect choice, error and atonement

- about the causes of the cruelty of people and the injustice of the world, about the boundaries of self-defense

- About whether the target justifies the means

Why did we decide to publish this book
This book is our first steps in serious fiction. We decided that we would look for and publish books, thanks to which we can talk with young readers about complex, problematic issues. We give priority to books that make us doubt, know ourselves and comprehend the complex and contradictory nature of man, reflect on the world around and ask ourselves all new questions, not trying to paint the world in black and white colors. It seems to us that "Sirius" is exactly such a book.

For whom this book
For young (and not so) people who like to read beautiful, poetic books, immerse themselves in invented worlds and reflect on complex issues. Formally, this is a book for girls and boys from 14-15 years old, but it raises serious questions that are relevant for adults.
