Who knows, maybe not in vain believe. A happy incident saves Gwen from slavery and faithful death - but now he has to survive in a new, cruel world where no one trusts anyone. And there is no way back from here: the sea is teeming with predatory kraquins, and on land, a powerful customs will guard all the boundaries - a source of horror for some and the right profit for others.
