Alexander Shalimov is an outstanding Soviet science fiction writer, whose flourishing of whose work came in the 1960s. Having debuted with realistic books with stories about geologists, already in 1959 in the periodical began to print stories in the genre of science fiction. In 1962, he published the first author’s book of fantastic novels "Secret of the Grandowing Crysteline", which followed many more novels and stories, Shalimov’s works entered the golden fund of Soviet fiction. The next volume of the writer"s works included the action -packed fantastic and adventure novel "Pir Valtasar", dedicated to one of the topical topics of the last decades - the struggle of the peaceful forces of the planet with the militarists eager for revenge. By this, already fifth, volume, the Prestige Buk publishing house continues the collected works of A. Shaalimov
