The true revolutionaries of the genre can be counted on the fingers, and the author, published under the pseudonym James Tipri Jr., is certainly from their number. The “New Wave” has already rattled with might and main, they have already harvested the crops of the main fantastic awards for newcomers-Wunderkinda Roger Zhelyazy and Ursula Le Guin, but Tipri immediately stood out even against such a bright background. His stories and stories - two “Hugo” and three “Nebums” have received in total, and nominated for various genre awards more than forty times - differed, with all the plot diversity, a unique author’s humor, a rupture of the usual genre templates.
