This is the third novel by Katherine Patrij, a magical realism written in the genre. All books by K. Patrij are based on her own experience of traveling to remote and inaccessible regions of different countries and continents. The author in his books pays great attention to the myths and legends of indigenous peoples, as well as acquaintance with wildlife.
The first novel “The First Dawn on Green Earth” was written in 2013, after long and dangerous adventures in Latin America. This was followed by Mongolia, Australia, Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Burma, Laos, Cambodia ... And every journey was reflected in the new book.
The basis of the novel Ghosts of the Green Continent was the events on a trip to Australia. A strange company of friends makes a difficult path full of dangers and adventures, starting with Sydney and the northern territories of Australia, go to the Green Island, overcome off -roads to Cape York ... But this is not just a journey. Each of them has its own goal - to study the disappearing species of animals, to compose topographic maps of unexplored territories, to restore the cave painting of the natives, to find in it the reflection of myths and legends ... But quite unexpectedly it opens the door to another world of mythical creatures ... but who they are they ? Whose side are they? What is Dingo silent about? What the great spirits want from them, the spirits of the northern territories of the Green Continent
