Brest Fortress. The history of the heroic defense of the fortress is an example of the courage and sacrifice of Soviet fighters at the very beginning of the war. Due to the miscalculations of the political leadership, the garrison was almost completely destroyed at the very first moment of the attack. But one can imagine if the fortress were prepared for the attack, provided with weapons, food and water, then the damage inflicted by her would be a hundred times higher, which might have affected the outcome of the whole war.
