Jan Larry (1900-1977) early orphaned, was a homeless man, participated in the civil war, and later graduated from the Biology Faculty of Leningrad University. He began writing in the genre of science fiction back in the 1920s. The most famous work, "extraordinary adventures of Karik and Vali", wrote by order of S. Marshak in 1937. It was a time when Marshak pulled talented "experienced people into children"s literature, Jan Larry turned out to be one of them.
The fantastic story "The extraordinary adventures of Karik and Vali" will never seem archaic, because the action in it unfolds in the amazing, complete dangers and secrets of the country of insects.
