Artist Yon Bauer is the most famous Swedish "portraitist" of the heroes of the Scandinavian folklore. With particular love, he treated the owners of the Swedish mountains and forests - trolls. From 1907 to 1915, he illustrated the almanac of fairy tales "among the elves and trolls", which annually went to Sweden to Christmas. As the first artist of this popular publication, Yon Bauer also gained fame outside his native country, becoming a classic of fabulous and mythological illustration
