Vaslav Fomich Nijinsky (1889–1950) was a Russian dancer and choreographer of Polish descent, an innovator in dance. From 1909 to 1913, he was the leading dancer and ballet master of Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. He choreographed ballets such as "The Rite of Spring," "Afternoon of a Faun," "The Games," and "Till Eulenspiegel." "The Feeling. Notebooks" are the chaotic and disordered writings of Vaslav Nijinsky, created after the end of his brilliant ballet career, which gave the world unique images in ballets by Stravinsky, Debussy, and Adan, which later became classics of world choreography. Severe mental illness forced Nijinsky to leave the stage, but it also gave birth to the notebooks that the author titled as "Life" and "Death." In his reflections, Nijinsky balances between genius and madness, rarely touching upon his past star-studded life, and appears as a person deeply feeling this world at a time when almost no one in his immediate surroundings "feels" him. Here are thoughts on the world and man, on God and the soul, on the transient and eternal, on art – not as a craft, but as a way of understanding the world... "I have experienced a lot, and therefore I want to write it down. Everything I have experienced has been nothing but horrors. I am afraid of people because they do not feel me, but understand me. I am afraid of people because they want me to live the same life they lead. They want me to dance cheerful things. I do not like merriment. I love life." Vaslav Nijinsky
