The Russian economy is going through one of the most challenging periods of its development since the beginning of the new millennium. The deep restructuring of Russian society in connection with the transition to a new development paradigm has led to a number of negative consequences due to the low competitiveness of the produced goods, the use of outdated production technologies, and so on. The need for innovative transformations in industrial production, as a real response to new challenges, is based on the high educational level of the Russian population, its scientific potential, which fills modernization with qualitatively new content. Based on a comprehensive analysis of efforts to overcome crisis phenomena, the reasons for the emergence of external threats in the work, it is proposed to widely involve all available resource potential in the processes of updating the national economy, taking into account the interests of society.
