Mikhail Osipovich Gershenzon (1869-1925) - the historian of Russian literature and public thought of the nineteenth century, writer, philosopher, publicist, translator, a tireless collector of the epistolary heritage of many figures of Russian culture, editor and publisher. This includes predominantly philosophical works of M.O. Gershenzon ("Crisis of Modern Culture", "The Triple Image of Perfection". "Key of Faith", etc), in which he in a brief and clear form of essays and aphorisms tried to formulate the result of his thinking about the fate of peace and culture, as they painted the contemporary tragic events of the first quarter of the past XX century. Tom also publishes an extensive correspondence with his brother (Letters to Brother ") Most of the publications collected in the volume have long become a bibliographic rarity. The total bibliography of works by M.O. is reproduced in volume. Gershenzon, published in 1928, supplemented by an extensive list of subsequent editions of Gershonzon himself and works about it until 1999.
