The series "Favorite Tales and Pictures" is dedicated to the work of the artist-tale, the director-multiplier, Honored Artist of the RSFSR Vladimir Grigoryevich Suteev. In his fairy tales and pictures, several generations of readers grew. Most of the book is occupied by the verses and fairy tales of Sergey Vladimirovich Mikhalkov. For the first time, all the artist’s illustrations are published to the poem "We are a friend". After almost 70 years, the poem "Uncle Styopa - policeman" with illustrations by V. Suteev is published. The book includes works of other writers - S. Marshak, V. Berestov, V. Orlov, E. Karganova, T. Belozerova and N. Yusupova - illustrations for which the famous artist painted.
