This book is the second in a series of books, designed to tell about the attitude of the first Russian emigration to those or other historical persons and the events of domestic history. The book is devoted to M.Yu.Lermontov and consists of works created by exiles in 1920 - 1970s. These diverse and deep essays were published in Belgrade, Paris, New Iorca, Harbin, Brussels, Munich, Frankfurt am Main, but still practically not known in Russia. Meanwhile, their significance for Lermontov, and for Russian culture as a whole is difficult to overestimate
