The pen of the American writer Andre Norton, the “great lady of science fiction” of the 20th century, belongs to more than 130 books. Critics, alas, were in no hurry to support her, and she herself was a too modest person to make her way to the pedestal. Nevertheless, her talent shone so brightly that he did not go unnoticed. In our country, the name of the writer became known after the release of the novel “Sargassy in Cosmos”, brilliantly translated by Arkady and Boris Strugatsky. And in 1963, a book entitled “Witchcraft World” was published in the United States-this is how one of the most famous fantasy-worlds in the history of the genre was created.
