in 1980 His son Christopher picked up and published the first collection, “The unfinished traditions of Numenor and Middle -earth”, which tells about the characters, events and geographical objects, casually mentioned in the “Lord of the Rings”: the loss of the Ring of the Ring of the Iris fields, about the origin of Gandalph, about The foundation of Rohan and much more. Each legend is accompanied by extensive comments that clarify the contradictions and inconsistencies in the text.
This publication aroused great interest among numerous fans of the great writer, and later Christopher continued to work with the archive of his father. Currently, the Legendarium of Middle -earth is 12 volumes
