Robert Young (1915 - 1986) is a name that is well familiar to all true connoisseurs of classical fantasy. It is enough to list the names of only a few of his things: “cut down a tree”, “girl-dandelion”, “the stars are called, Mr. Kits!”, “Thirty days in September”, “On the River” ... Robert Young was not a professional writer and all his life , with the exception of three years of service in the army, he lived in the small town of Silver Cryste in the state of New York. He worked as a driver, a castingman, a Swiss, a handyman, and wrote in his free time, and for thirty years he created five novels and more than a hundred stories, and it was the stories that became the hallmark of the writer.
The works that were included in this collection belong to different genres But all of them unite the amazing kindness and humanity of Robert Yang, unexpected plot turns and writer"s skills, thanks to which we see his eyes with the hills in a golden-red autumn outfit, ghostly valcing couples in an abandoned star ship and a marvelous creation of a giant tree in the green lace of a giant tree
