England, the beginning of the XVII century.
Flitwood lives in an old family castle, she has been married for four years, but she and her husband still have no children. Desperate, she calls on her mysterious girl Alice, whom she once met in the forest. Flitwood believes that Alice knows what herbs to drink to her to endure and give birth to a healthy child.
