Jake"s father disappeared when he helped the scientist Elong Oberon Venn put experiments in a secluded English estate. Jake is sure that his father was killed by a man whom he considered his friend, however, visiting Venn, the young man will learn the incredible truth. The black mirror over which the experiments was conducted, opens the way to the past and in the future.
Not only Venn wishes to use this miracle. The mirror as a powerful magnet attracts mysterious strangers. It is not known where Sarah Stuart prefers not to tell anything about herself. Maskelain, a man with a scar on his face, claims that the mirror was stolen from him in one of the past centuries. Other uninvited guests arrive, and now the already snowy estate is surrounded by primitive creatures from the Shi tribe, familiar with magic and hostile to humanity.
