Once at Christmas in one small place in the Bun district, in Western Virginia, a bard named after Jess Walker witnesses a strange incident: seven creatures resembling devils are chasing a man in a red fur coat, suspiciously similar to ... Santa Claus. The fugitive jumps into the sled, drawn by deer, "devils" - followed by, deer are soared into the sky, and they all disappear in the clouds. Crows come from there, and a few seconds later a bag falls to the ground - the same magic bag with gifts. And because of this bag, the unfortunate musician falls into the power of the terrible (and strange) lord of Yolya named Krampus. But the border between good and evil becomes not so obvious when the new owner of Jess begins to reveal to him the dark secrets hiding behind the sweet appearance of the red-cheeked Santa Claus. Including the story of how, already half a thousand years ago, a good -natured Santa imprisoned Krampus in a dungeon and appropriated his magic
