Johann Kabal, a scientist, a skeptic and a necromancer, again on the run, though this time he is haunted by government agents. Under someone else"s name, he penetrates aboard the Princess of Hortense, a passenger airship heading to another country. Kabal dreams of a calm journey without any incidents, but forced idleness and routine are badly affecting his plans. When one of the passengers dies on board and the circumstances of his death lead to the idea of the murder, Kabal decides to be investigated. A closed space, a limited circle of suspects is a beautiful mystery for a bored person with an outstanding intelligence. Soon they attempt on the bondage, and then everything finally gets out of control. Massive destruction is inevitable, not to mention the resurrected dead
