He inspired both the French fabulist Lafontaine, and the Russian poet Ivan Andreevich Krylov, and his biography, retold by the Brazilian playwright Guillerme Figiedo in the play "Fox and Grapes", was a deafening success. In the film shot in the USSR, it was played by Alexander Kalyagin.
