Almost all known explosive technologies that are of industrial importance are described: hardening, welding, stamping, pressing with the energy of the explosion and the dynamic synthesis of super -hard materials, as well as the technologies of separation into fragments of steel structures using both elongated cumulative charges and shock waves. The main ideas about environmentally friendly explosive methods of disassembling and destroying ammunition are set out. The methods of protection from the action of the explosion are considered, as well as simple engineering methods for calculating the structural characteristics of explosive devices that implement the corresponding explosive technologies, and calculating explosive chambers for strength. The last part of the textbook tells about the use of peaceful nuclear explosions in order to solve scientific and industrial problems.
The textbook is written on the basis of lecture materials in academic disciplines, combined under the general name "explosive technologies", which the authors have read to students of MSTU named after N.E. Bauman and the Sarov State Physics and Technical Institute.
