Readers are offered a book by the German philosopher and mathematician Johann Schultz (1739–1805), in which the first attempt to adapt Immanuel Kant's great work "Critique of Pure Reason" for a wide audience was made. The first part of the book contains a detailed exposition of the entire "Critique," and this part was recognized as one of the best university textbooks in Germany for studying Kant's works. In the second part, the content and reasoning of the "Critique" are presented again, but using a different method — in a systematic order of the main problems of Kant's theoretical philosophy. The book is of interest to both professional philosophers and historians of science, as well as to a wide range of readers.
