The famous Russian writer Gaito (Georgy Ivanovich) Gazdanov spent most of his life in a foreign land. Announced emigration wave from their homeland, he listened to the courses in Sorbonne, earned a night taxi driver, who later worked on the radio "freedom". The intrigue master, often leading to paradoxical junction, the Gazdanov occupies a special position in the Russian prose of the 20th century. This book includes his best Roman evening at Claire (1929), marked by the printing of autobiographer, and Roman Returning the Buddha (1948) with his almost detective storyline associated with the murder of a Russian emigrant and the disappearance of the Golden Figurines of the Buddha
