Artichoke extract - liver health according to a French recipe!
Artichoke is an exotic plant from the Mediterranean. The leaves of the artichoke contain cynarin, chlorogenic and caffeic acids, mineral salts, polysaccharides (up to 80% of which is inulin), pectin, tannins, organic acids, potassium, as well as vitamins A, B1, B2, C. Artichoke, thanks to its composition, has a gentle choleretic effect, supports the natural protection of liver cells.
Artichoke extract contributes to:
- improvement of bile secretion and flow,
- improvement of the functional state of the liver.
Inulin, ascorbic acid, carotene, vitamins B1 and B2 contained in artichoke support the basic metabolism and have a positive effect on lipid metabolism, which is why artichoke contributes to:
- improving digestion, especially when consuming a significant amount of carbohydrates and fatty foods,
- supporting biochemical processes in liver cells,
- improving cholesterol metabolism.
In France, Italy, and Spain, the tender flesh of artichoke leaves is added to their daily diet, and also used to make dry and liquid extracts. Artichoke is an essential element of the so-called "Mediterranean diet" because it has a beneficial effect on lipid metabolism. Bile and digestive enzymes produced in response to the intake of artichoke help break down and process significant amounts of fats and carbohydrates.
Artichoke can also be considered as a dietary element for individuals controlling blood sugar levels, as 80% of artichoke carbohydrates are inulin, which does not require insulin for absorption, produced by the pancreas. Additionally, artichoke helps eliminate excess fluid from the body and aids in the natural renewal of liver cells.
Dosage: 2 tablets twice a day for adults during meals. The duration of intake is at least 1 month with the possibility of repetition after 10 days.
