In his new book, a well-known economist and diplomat, Doctor of Economics Berlin Irishev explores key problems with which in recent years the euro has encountered - the first supranational currency, which turned into the second reserve currency of the world. The author subjures the reasons and forms of manifestation of destructive crisis, which lead to a violation of macroeconomic equilibrium in the eurozone. The asymmetry phenomenon arises, and the known anti-crisis regulation methods do not lead to the desired results. The inconsistency of the policy of tough savings and the dominance of markets over the decisions of European institutions highlights the monetary policy and tools of central banks. At the same time, the author believes that a large-scale intervention of central banks in the weakening of the crisis contains new risks of a global nature. In a book based on a critical study of various points of view, scenarios of the decay and preservation of the Eurozone and the generalization of a rich statistical and empirical material, the author offers its own vision of the development of the situation and substantiates the necessary steps and conditions that can contribute to overcoming the economic and financial problems of the Eurozone and the European Union
