This study involves three volumes with a total volume of more than 160 copyright sheets. The studied material is the vocabulary of Indo -European languages. In the center of the book is the etymology of the Slavic, Baltic, Indo -Iranian, Italian languages, the etymology of the vocabulary of the ancient Greek, Thracian, Illyrian, Tochar, and Hittite languages are also proposed. The unifying idea of the study is reconstruction and semantics, i.e. Determination of semantic motivation for the designation of the analyzed word. The implementation of these ideas is directly related to the analysis of the very ancient layer of the Indo -European title and considerations and hypotheses related to the mentality of the speakers of these languages and the processes of generating meanings and their evolution in later eras. This circle of tasks and relevant problems is organically associated with others than the vocabulary and semantics, the levels of the language, primarily to the genesis of some grammatical categories.
