Estonian Islands

The islands due to its isolated from the continental part of Estonia most fully retained the traditional way of life, culture and customs, which have come down to us from ancient times.
Despite the fact that the islands of Saaremaa and Hiyumaaa are part of Europe, the untouched nature has been preserved there. More than half of the islands area are covered with deaf forests in which a large number of animals and birds live. There have been created by Vilsandi National Park, WiDumäea Reserve, Koiga"s reserve, which provide for tourists the opportunity to get acquainted with wildlife.
It is necessary to add that Estonia has a common border with Russia, which makes it possible to get to the islands of both air and road transport.
