The eighth essay continues the publication of a series of articles on the history of heat power engineering in Russia. In 2023, it will be 150 years since the birth of the classic of Russian and Soviet heat engineering, Dmitryev Vladimir Vladimirovich. The essay includes his biography and a brief history of the power plants he was associated with. Special attention is paid to the facilities where he implemented the joint generation of electrical and thermal energy, creating a new cost-effective technology for energy production. The publication is supplemented with plans, diagrams, and historical photographs.
