The monograph is devoted to the study of the processes that occurred in companies and in enterprises during the last economic crisis and in the pre-crisis years. It includes studies of external and internal factors of modernization: a competitive environment and business climate, innovative behavior, management technologies, models of the interaction of the state and business, mechanisms of inter-revocative coordination, etc. Separate essays are combined with a general methodology. The empirical base served the results of two rounds of monitoring the competitiveness of enterprises of manufacturing industries conducted in 2005 and 2009.
