Modal syntax is a new section of syntactic science, designed to investigate the semantics of linguistic (primarily syntactic units) and text based on the anthropocentric principle “man in the language”. The traditional sections of the syntax (structural, communicative, semantic) must be supplemented with the study of the role of the speaker (I) in the structure of language and speech. The role of the speaker is manifested primarily in the subjective (textual) modality - a universal language category that forms an important layer of the meaning of language units, which plays a large role in speech formation. The book describes the theoretical foundations of subjective modality, the subjective modality of the word (word forms), phrase, tex. For students, graduate students, teachers of higher educational institutions
