The book combines samples of fabulous folklore of France, including fairy tales of almost all regions of the country. We get acquainted with the national mentality of France, not through the prism of the great masters of French literature - Francois Rabelais, Molzak, Balzac, Viktor Hugo, Emil Zola and many others, and directly, directly from the lips of the simplest Frenchman. The collection of 77 fairy tales does not include those that are well known to us in literary processing (for example, the tales of S. Perro) and arising on the basis of literary options for fairy-tale plots. Tales of this kind are given only if special characteristic details give them a well -known independence compared to the literary option.
The book is accompanied by an extensive article and the application: a list of areas (following the map from north to south of France), fixing information about which of the regions, the provinces are the fairy tales presented in the collection
