Dragons are the only creatures that we meet in the legends of almost all the peoples of the world: from the legends of Snow Scandinavia to the tales of Africa, Japan and China. Unimaginable without dragons and modern legends - from "Lord of the Rings" to "Game of Thrones".
In our book, more than twenty fairy tales and legends about dragons from different countries and eras are collected. We will begin the journey in ancient Greece, where Zeus, Kadm and Hercules entered the fight with dragons. In Germany and England, the great warriors Siegfried and Beowulf went to the duel with the dragons, and St. George in Lebanon.
The reader finds out how they won, tamed and revered dragons in Norway, Finland, Serbia, Armenia, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and Kalmykia. As the inhabitants of Japan, Korea and China admired them in front of the dragons and admired them. And of course, we will not forget about the snake of Gorynych from Russian fairy tales!
