The borium “Songs of the gods of the people of Ainu” (“Ainu Singeyu”) was assembled and recorded by the young girl Tiri Yukie (1903-1922) - the daughter of Ainov from the Tikafumi community who lived on Hokkaido. She lived for only incomplete twenty years, but managed to accomplish a real feat-saved from oblivion the unique epic of Ainov, one of the most mysterious peoples of the globe. They never had writing, and if it weren’t for their young fellow tribesman, the world would not have recognized the strange and beautiful songs of the Ainsky gods ... The basis of this book is the first translation into the Russian language of all thirteen “divine” songs of Ainu, included in the “Aina Singeen” . Publisher: Hyperion
