Superpopular in Russia at the turn of the century "King of the feuilleton" and "King of the Report of" Vlas Mikhailovich Doroshevich (1865-1922) - talented, witty, gambling - could not deny himself a claim for another title. He created his own kingdom of a literary and ethnographic fairy tale. Doroshevich wandered a lot around the world, eagerly absorbed his impressions. "Every day I find out, I see such a mass of new, interesting that there is no way to even figure out everything. It often seems to me that I have gone crazy and everything that I see around is a nightmare. Before that, everything is monstrous and beautiful at the same time. ” This is about India. Many of Doroshevich invented by Doroshevich (or still heard?) Indian legends and myths - about slander, about reforms, about statistics, about adherents, about fools - the Russian authorities of that time seemed dangerous and untimely. But the times and authorities are changing, and the tales of Doroshevich, as befits real fairy tales, remain relevant
