The book is a publication of materials recorded in the Arkhangelsk region during folklore -ethnographic expeditions of the Russian State Humanitarian University from 1993 to 2019. The collection publishes stories about dreams that were most remembered by the storytellers, that is, for the most part - the raised ones. They saw these dreams either in a certain emotional state (most often associated with the death of someone from loved ones), or as a result of fortune telling, or just like that, but, as a rule, they themselves perceive these dreams as prophetic and associate them with certain important the events of the distant life of life. The book also includes stories about the dying - visions of the afterlife during lethargic sleep. Interpretations of dreams are based on traditional images, symbols and signs that are easily “read” carriers of folklore tradition.
The collection is equipped with an extensive reference apparatus. The book is designed for specialists and all those interested in traditional culture
