The book is devoted to the study of the plots of Arab-Persian cosmographies about outlandish trees, colors and fruits. The author analyzes the perception of medieval scientists, writers and travelers of natural miracles. The mysterious plots owe their origin to the mythological texts of other traditions (Indian, Chinese, African) According to the author, the corps of short messages about natural riddles is documented by the phenomenon of the “Muslim Renaissance” era, the essence of which is the classification of inexplicable phenomena. Thus, the contours of alternative science that recognizes the existence of fantastic are outlined.
