The book consists of three parts. The first part is based on the idea that Russian magical fairy tales reflect numerous religious and mythological concepts of antiquity, the features of the matriarchy, the rite of initiation and the main fairy -tale characters are considered. In the second part, the author’s attention is concentrated on those religious and shells that can be found in separate texts of Russian literature of the XIX and XX centuries. Some of these elements are unexpected for us, and we seemed to have already guessed about some. In the third part, traces of religious and mythological plots in Russian literature are revealed, and special attention is paid to F. Dostoevsky, A. Platonov and V. Ratutin.
