The textbook is prepared in accordance with the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Professional Education in the specialties "Law Enforcement Activities" and "Law and Social Security Organization", OP.05 "Environmental Law" and OP.04 "Fundamentals of Environmental Law" respectively.
The textbook defines the concept of the subject of environmental law, explains its system of sources and principles, and types of legal responsibility. Environmental issues are considered in the context of the current state of the environment. Based on the analysis and generalization of the existing regulatory framework in the field of ecology in the Russian Federation, the state strategy for nature management and environmental protection, social and economic transformations in the country related to environmental safety and sustainable development of the environment, including international cooperation, are highlighted in an accessible form.
