The book is a fairly complete summary of the texts dedicated to the problem of entrepreneurial organizations in Russia, as published in 1980-1990s. And not published earlier, but written at the same time and even a little earlier. It affects the problem of mobilizing the Russian industry during the First World War, which is especially true in the light of the approaching 100th anniversary of its inception.
The structure of the book developed organically, in accordance with the nature of the texts. In the first part of it, two historiographic articles were included. The second collected results of source studies covering the main types of historical sources under the subject matter under consideration (regulatory documents, deproprome documentation, periodicals) The third part was the texts, in the aggregate giving an essay of a number of important aspects of the history of entrepreneurial organizations at different stages of their development. Articles for encyclopedic publications (a kind of encyclopedia of entrepreneurial organizations in Russia), which formed the fourth part of the book, in a minimum of volume contain a maximum of specific information and, collected together, draw a holistic picture. Annexes include applications that include literature, as well as lists of regulatory documents and publications of entrepreneurs.
