In world history, there are many cases when during the war, countries united in the face of danger, supported each other and helped in the most difficult moment. One of the strongest and most amazing alliances between countries developed during the First World War. This union was called "Entente".
The book is devoted to the history of the creation and existence of the Entente - the Union, the meaning and significance of which to this day give rise to violent disputes. The book contains articles of authors from different countries, which allows you to look at the events of those days from different points of view. Texts are published in parallel in Russian, French and English. A rich illustrative series, represented by photographs, paintings, posters and images of museum exhibits, complements the narrative and creates a finished picture in the reader"s mind. Some of the images, in particular the watercolor P.Ya. Pyatsky, who captured Nicholas II’s visit to France, portraits of Russian soldiers D.S. Stelletsky, paintings by French artists from the collection of the Fort Pompel museum, as well as modern engravings from the Great War series. I.A.
