The monograph includes the results of a study on the political and legal aspects of ensuring environmental safety in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. The study is interdisciplinary in nature and includes an analysis of the positions of various states, both Arctic and those who believe that the Arctic belongs to all of humanity. The transformation of Russia's external and internal policies in the Arctic over the past decades is detailed, including various aspects of international cooperation. The author reflects a wide range of scientific research on the current state and prospects of development of politico-economic processes in the Arctic region, formulating scientifically grounded recommendations for improving Russian legislation in the fields of economic activity, law, education, psychology, and others. The legislation is up to date as of October 2021.
