Scientific and methodological approaches are considered, ensuring a decrease in the tendency of the steels of perlite and martensitic class and metal of their welded compounds to coldness. The role of carbides formed after thermal improvement and additional leave is analyzed, the features of their growth and coagulation were investigated. It is shown that coagulation and spheroidization of cementite -type carbides allows not only to increase the colable resistance of perlite and martensite -class steels, including the metal of their welded joints, but also to eliminate thermal fragility of steels after prolonged operation.
