The book discusses the methods for evaluating the thermal regime of metal cutting machines and their most heat -tireless parts and nodes. The mechanism of formation and thermophysical analysis of the thermal regime of parts and nodes of metal cutting machines is given, their thermophysical classification is given and typical thermal models are described. Analytical dependencies are given for evaluating the stationary and non -stationary thermal modes of parts and units of machine tools. The methodology for conducting calculations of the thermal regime is given both by the analytical and the method of final elements for different boundary conditions. Information is given on the assessment of thermal losses and heatings, heat transfer coefficients and other thermophysical components that form the thermal regime of parts and components of metal cutting machines. The criteria for the similarity of the thermal regime of standard parts and nodes are given, their normalized values are given and the methods of evaluation are described.
