Theoretical foundations of energy -saving technologies

The textbook reveals the issues of thermodynamics and their application to solving the problems of the organization and optimization of energy-saving chemical-technological systems and processes, as well as oil and gas processing processes. It is a comprehensive work consisting of three parts. The first part sets out the basic laws of thermodynamics, revealed the conceptual and methodological apparatus of this science in a volume sufficient for students to study non -energy specialties. The second part of the manual reveals the issues of using the thermodynamic approach in assessing the energy efficiency of chemical and technological systems. The main attention is paid to the analysis and accounting of the irreversibility of the processes of chemical production and its influence on energy efficiency. The third part provides a calculated workshop for the assimilation of the foregoing material in previous sections, containing examples of solving typical problems of thermodynamics and analyzing the energy efficiency of processes, problems for independent solution, methodological indications to the implementation of practical and graphic works to consolidate the acquired knowledge and acquire thermodynamic calculation skills . Each calculated and practical work contains options for an individual solution, the methodology of implementation and a list of control issues.
A training manual is intended for students of higher educational institutions studying in the areas of preparation of undergraduate and magistracy Energy and resource-saving processes in chemical technology, petrochemicals and biotechnology, Technological machines and equipment. It can be used by staddresses of other areas of preparation. Theoretical material and methods of thermodynamic calculations presented in the manual are also useful in the thesis in the diploma design of a rational organization and optimizing the energy -saving system developed in the project.
