The textbook is written on the basis of the experience of teaching by the authors of the theoretical foundations of electrical engineering at the St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University ("Leti") The material is presented with strict mathematical positions, with compulsory physical interpretation. The course begins with the study of the functional properties of circuits as signal converters first in a temporary and then in frequency areas. Classical and modern applications of the theory of chains - discrete chains, theory of filters, active circuits, synthesis of two -polers, sensitivity theory, machine -oriented calculation methods, relay chains, magnetic chains, high -quality chains, and synthesis of four -polers. The basic sections of the theory of electromagnetic field are also considered. The textbook is intended for university students studying in radio engineering.
