The training manual introduces students to the methods of obtaining the initial materials under consideration, with the ingredients that are part of them and areas of use in the production of various parts. The design of details and technology for their manufacture is based on a systematic approach, starting with the development of parts for technology, unification of their elements and classification and ending with the development of technological processes of forming and designing and manufacturing press forms, which are certainly consistent with the equipment used.
In part 1, approaches to the design of technology and tools for the manufacture of structural parts from plastic masses are set out. Part 2 is devoted to the technology for the manufacture of rubber mixtures, the selection and layouts of technological equipment for the manufacture of the source materials in the form of ribbons, sheets, rods and sleeves, as well as the processes of vulcanization, casting and pressing of structural rubber parts. Part 3 contains information about the methods of manufacturing powder materials, technological processes of their compact, sintering and further processing. The foundations of the theory of pressing of powders, which are illustrated by calculated examples, are outlined. Part 4 shows information about the production of composite materials, their properties, test methods and technologies for the manufacture of structural products.
