A description of the technological process of the production of lumber, including: the organization of reception, sorting, storage and supply to the processing of files, requirements for pilot raw materials and pilot products in domestic and European standards, theoretical foundations of cutting logs in parallel to the longitudinal axis and in parallel forming, planning of cutting raw materials For lumber, the principles of constructing and calculating sawmill flows with possible schemes and methods of cutting saw-off raw materials on various types of logs, the final processing of lumber and their preparation for shipping to the consumer.
The textbook is intended for students in the direction of “Technology of logging and wood -processing industries”, the profile “Woodwork technology” and for the preparation of certified specialists (masters and bachelors) for tests and exams, as well as during practical, laboratory, independent, coursework and final qualification works in the disciplines “Methodology for the design of technological processes of logging”, “Technology of sawmill-drumming industries”, “Calculation of technological equipment of sawmill enterprises”.
