Taping conveyors of the manufacturing industry. Textbook

The textbook contains the main types of conveyors used in the manufacturing industry, types of conveyor tapes with a detailed technical characteristic, including new designs using modern materials. The main nodes, components of conveyors with recommendations for the choice and optimal use for reliable operation, as well as the main technical characteristics for calculation, are considered. The principle of determining the resistances in the areas of the conveyor tape is shown: worker, idle, drive, tensioning, deviating, cleaning, loading and unloading. The issues of the power calculation of the conveyor are considered in order to determine the loads in the main nodes, the district effort, the moment and the power consumed on the shaft of the drive drum. The methodology for designing an electromechanical drive and an updated strength calculation of the units and elements of the conveyor to ensure high reliability of their operation, subject to resource and energy conservation, is given. The requirements of safety and labor protection are indicated, the technical implementation of which is formulated at the stage of design of the conveyor.
