The monograph is devoted to issues of the methodology of the material and technical support of railway transport. The railways of Russia, by type of activity, the nature of the material and technical resources used, technologies, means and control systems are classified as high-tech industries, which should have high quality and technical levels, reliability and technology in operation. For this reason, the system of material and technical support itself both in structure and in the algorithm of the functions performed as a whole needs to seriously improve the quality of its work. The economic situation in Russia requires a revision of the principles and mechanisms of management on the basis of a corporate model for managing the supply chains, focused on logistics knowledge. In the difficult economic conditions of the current decade, it is necessary to improve the quality of organization of supply of enterprises and structural units of railway transport, directly related to the implementation of the process approach, the advantage of which is more detailed regulation of management actions and their mutual agreement. In order to increase the efficiency of the activity and development of the management system in the Russian Railways system, a lean production system is being formed aimed at further expanding the implementation of the principles of customer orientation, ideology and corporate culture.
At the moment of time, the solution of many issues is impossible without a cybernetic approach to setting the tasks of material and technical support and logistics analysis of information technologies, to the introduction of developed algorithms and models of development strategies and concepts for improving business processes of the production system. The management strategy, or a general plan for the implementation of material resources management, proceeds from the fundamental assessment of the arrangement and correlation of forces and factors acting in the economic and political field, taking into account the impact on the specific form of management strategy.
Materials will be useful to the heads and specialists of the Directorate of the MTO, the Central Exhibition Center and can be used in scientific research of bachelors, masters and graduate students interested in the issues of the economy of railway transport and supply logistics
